Flutist Saji Manjamala performing at the cultural event
A musical cultural performance was held as part of the 14th Ananantholsavam of Thiruvananthapuram District Residential Association Qatar (TRAQ) on Febrauary 10, 2023, at ICC Ashoka Hall in Doha.
The celebration at ICC Ashoka Hall began with the inaugural lighting of lamp by the Chief Guest Indian Sports Centre Qatar President Dr Mohan Thomas, Guest of Honor ICC President Babu Raj, ICBF acting president Vinod V Nair, distinguished guest and flutist Saji Manjamala, TRAQ President Soji Nair and TRAQ General Secretary Vidya Selvi. Desertline MD Arunkumar and Regency Holding CFO Sreekumar were the other prominent guests present at the event.
The chief guest, in his speech, commended TRAQ for its helping hands during the Covid-19 outbreak, especially for those from the Thiruvananthapuram district.
The event also saw the felicitation of the award winners, in the TRAQ family (which has over 500 members), for the year 2021- 2022, along with the plus two grade out standers and other sports winners.
TRAQ members Shareen Nizam, Sheeja Unni Krishnan and Santhosh kurup hosted the event with flair.
The highlight of the event was a mesmerizing flute track by Saji Manjamala, who has many albums to his credit.
Cultural activities such as Thullal pirai Isai, Karakattom, etc by Qathavu team became the icing of the cake.
Polyphony music band enhanced the show as the evening further advanced with interesting and eye-catching performance presented by TRAQ members.
The event was coordinated by Vice President Manoj Susheelan and Excom members - Shareen Nizam, Sheeja Unnikrishnan, Jayapal, Azeem, Sukhu Nair, Shyam Mohan and Satheesh Appu kuttan.
TRAQ is one of the most active socio-cultural groups within the Indian community in Qatar with more than 500 family members.
