Doha: The second phase of the 2025-2026 Women’s Basketball League, overseen by the Qatar Basketball Federation, tips off on this evening, following a competitive first phase that showcased rising team standards and intensified rivalries.

The opening round features two key matchups: Al Gharafa faces Al Adaam, aiming to extend their winning streak, while Al Khor meets Al Shamal in a crucial clash. Both games start at 9:00 p.m. at Federation Halls 1 and 2.

Al Gharafa dominated the first phase, collecting six points from three matches. Their campaign included a nail-biting 62-61 victory over Al Adaam, a commanding 71-52 win against Al Khor, and a tactical 55-49 triumph over Al Shamal, marked by disciplined defense and sharp execution in decisive moments.

Al Shamal, finishing the first phase as runners-up with four points, opened with a strong 85-71 win over Al Khor but slipped against Al Adaam (50–63) and narrowly lost to Al Gharafa.

The team now aims to regain momentum and challenge the leaders in the second phase.
