Civil Defence holds mock evacuation drill

Doha: The General Directorate of Civil Defence conducted a mock evacuation drill at Qatar Gas tower in Dafna.
The drill by safety and security employees of the building, started with a mock report on smoke emission on the seventh floor of the building and it was forwarded to the Operation Department and Civil Defence centre in Wadi Al Sail. 
The alarm went off and those working inside were informed through loud speakers to get out using emergency exits. Security staff supervised the evacuation and the gathering at the assembly point. Two individuals hurt in the drill were taken to ambulance. The drill was supervised by Brig. Hamad Al Duhaimi, Director of Operation Department,  General Directorate of Civil Defence, and Capt. Khamees Salem Al Suwaidi, Evacuation Officer. Rescue Police (Al Fazaa) and Ambulance Services also participated.   The Peninsula
