Doha: The Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics, in cooperation with Unesco Statistics Institute, will organise a regional workshop on education statistics and their classification in the Gulf states and Yemen on March 23-25.
It aims at building capacities in areas of education statistics and developing participants’ competence in the tabulation of expenditure data on education, based on unified and international methodologies.
It also aims at updating participants on how to calculate and use relevant indicators in planning and progress monitoring.
Participants will be trained in the use of International Standard Classification of Education 2011, which they can later use in classifying national education programmes. They will also establish an appropriate environment for expertise exchange among Gulf states on education statistics in general.
