DOHA: Several events are scheduled to be held to mark the GCC Oral Health Unified Week.
The programmes are again being organised in collaboration with the Supreme Education Council and Primary Health Care Corporation.
The GCC Oral Health Unified Week is being observed in all GCC countries following a resolution issued by the health ministers of the GCC states at their 65th conference, held in Geneva in 2008.
The aim is to promote oral health and focus on the importance of preventive measures to reduce the incidence of oral and dental diseases.
Every year, the last week of March is dedicated to raising awareness of dental diseases and how to prevent them.
This year, the event will be held under the theme ‘Teeth, Health & Beauty.’ Government as well as non-government institutions will participate in the activities.
