Madrid: Games in Spain's top two divisions will hold a minute's silence before kick-off on Sunday in memory of the 13 people killed in a bus crash carrying foreign exchange students in the north-east of the country.
"Professional football joins in the signs of condolence and expresses its solidarity with the relatives and friends of the victims," the Spanish football league said in a statement.
Forty-four people were also injured in the accident near the small town of Freginals, about 150 kilometres (95 miles) south of Barcelona, as the bus was returning from a popular traditional festival in Valencia.
La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid will be amongst those to honour the victims as they face Villarreal and Sevilla respectively.
