KARACHI: Returning Officers (ROs) visited what the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has termed as ‘ghost’ polling stations in the NA-246 constituency of Karachi.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has started probing allegations leveled by the PTI pertaining to the by-election in NA-246. As a part of the probe, ROs visited City College, Siraj-ud-Daulah College, Zubeida Hajiyani and Metropolitan School polling stations.

According to ECP sources, these educational institutions were used as polling stations during the 2013 general election. A detailed report on the ‘ghost’ polling stations will be sent to the ECP.

By-election on NA-246 will be held on April 23 after the seat fell vacant when Nabil Gabol resigned from the post and the MQM.
