DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Monday, adding 54.88 points (or 0.61 percent) to advance to 9,064.31 points from 9,009.43 on Sunday.
The volume of the shares traded up to 13,872,545 from 10,964,251 on Sunday and the value of shares increased to QR456,838,757.00 from QR376,487,431.31 Sunday.
Among the top gainers were International Islamic Bank which was up 1.52 percent to QR53.50, Qatar Insurance rose 4.81 percent to QR61.00, Masraf Al Rayan gained 1.52 percent to QR26.70 and Islamic Insurance up by 2.24 percent to QR54.70.
The Banking and Financial sector index down up 0.53 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index lost 0.04 points.
The industrial sector dropped 0.26 points while insurance sector added 3.10 points. (QNA)
