PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has setup a well equipped mobile hospital at Bakakhel IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) camp in Frontier Region Bannu to provide medical services to the dislocated people of North Waziristan Agency.
Dr Nazir Wazir, Director Administration Health Services Fata said that a mobile hospital with all major facilities was setup in Bakakhel IDPs camp where specialists doctors and para medical staff are working day and night for help of their needy brethren.
In addition to other doctors and para medical staff, he said 25 doctors of North Waziristan Agency and 500 para-medical staff and personnel were also performing duties by providing free of cost medical services to the affectees.
The strength of doctors and para-medical staff including laboratory technicians were also increased in hospitals and Basic Health Units setup for IDPs in addition to the already established Government hospitals in Bannu.
“Cases with major ailments are shifted to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital Bannu and Peshawar,” he added.
“The situation is our complete control and no outbreak of disease has been reported in IDPs camps,” he added.
Dr Nazir said free medicines and counselling services were also provided besides special focus on the mental health of IDPs.
