Most of the biggest television series, available exclusively on OSN, the region’s leading pay-TV network, have scooped a record-breaking 100 nominations for the 66th edition of the Primetime Emmy Awards.
Comedians Mindy Kailing and talk show host Carson Daly revealed the nominations, while Seth Meyers, the former head writer of Saturday Night Live and the host of The Tonight Show with Seth Meyers, will host the star-studded event which will be aired live on August 26 on OSN First HD (12am KSA).
Game of Thrones which recently concluded its fourth season on OSN has the most nods - up for an amazing 19 nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Peter Dinklage’s role as Tyrion Lannister.
American Horror Story: Coven has been acknowledged 17 times including for Outstanding Miniseries while Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett have all scored individual nods.
Breaking Bad fans were not disappointed as its final season received 16 nominations. These included Outstanding Drama Series and of course Best Leading Actor in a Drama Series nod for Bryan Cranston’s unforgettable role.
