Turkey looking into operating Kabul airport

Ankara: Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country is looking into the possibility of operating the Kabul airport in Afghanistan, if their conditions are met.

Erdogan told reporters, in a statement reported by Anadolu Agency (AA), that Turkey's conditions includes Washington's diplomatic and logistic support. He said that the US should hold talks with Turkey, just like they did with the Taliban.

He highlighted that Turkey has been operating the Kabul airport for 20 years, and there is a desire to continue this role.
