New York: Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations sent a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, highlighting the heavy human toll and widespread destruction caused by Israeli entity attacks on the country.
According to Iran's official news agency (IRNA), the letter holds the Israeli entity legally and internationally responsible for the attacks, which resulted in the deaths of 1,100 civilians, including 132 women and 45 children, and injured more than 5,750 others.
The letter states that Israeli entity deliberately targeted civilian centers, vital infrastructure, hospitals, media outlets, peaceful nuclear facilities, and Iranian families.
Iran's mission emphasized that "these crimes constitute a flagrant violation of UN Charter, international law, Geneva Conventions, and international human rights instruments," and called on Security Council to hold the perpetrators accountable by ending the impunity enjoyed by the Israel entity and its supporters.
