Doha: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a telephone call today from the Prime Minister of Canada HE Dr. Mark Carney during which he expressed his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy on the death of the late HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
For his part, HH The Amir expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to HE the Prime Minister for his condolences.
The call dealt with discussing bilateral cooperation and the means to enhance them in different fields, in addition to exchanging views over the latest regional and international developments, particularly developments in the region.
HH the Amir congratulated HE the Prime Minister on Canada's success in hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026 in partnership with the United States of America and the United Mexican States, wishing them continued success.
