DOHA: Qatar Photographic Society recently organised a workshop for women on photographing wildlife and birds. The workshop was held at the office of the association located near Al Araby Club. Photograhper Mohsin Jafar spoke in detail about the nuances of wildlife photography.
He delivered a lecture on the migration of birds, reasons behind it and their coexistence with the environment. He said that a photographer should take proper equipment and should properly time his photo shoot.
He discussed some of the internationally acclaimed photographers and their photographs. He also touched upon the works of some well-known local photographers. He showed local documentaries and videos and discussed the problems faced by photographers.
The association is planning to organise a workshop for men on the same subject next week. The association said that people who wish to attend the next workshop can register their name in the Al Hilal branch of the society. It said that many people had expressed an interest in attending the workshop and learning about photography.
