MANILA: Police arrested four persons, including two Chinese, during a buy-bust operation in San Juan City, seizing P12m ($267,000) worth of illegal drugs, the National Capital Region Police Office said yesterday.
NCRPO said authorities nabbed Chinese nationals Dong Jin Chen and Wang Yong Gui, along with Bryan Chua Legru and Juveline Gallardo Mista during a sting operation last October 18 in Club Filipino St in Greenhills, San Juan City after weeks of surveillance.
Seized from suspects were two plastic bags containing kilograms of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with an estimated value of P12m ($267,000), cellular phones, black Subaru (XKV-819), a silver Honda CRV (XKU-222) and the P1,000 ($22) marked money.
The NCRPO said the confiscated shabu were submitted to Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for laboratory examination.
The four suspects were brought to San Juan City Prosecutor’s Office for inquest for illegal drug raps, the NCRPO added.
