DOHA: Qatar Foundation’s (QF) Annual Research Conference 2014 (ARC’14) which offered thousands of delegates the opportunity to listen and engage with leading scientists and researchers from Qatar and around the world ended yesterday.
ARC’14, held under the patronage of H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson, QF, supports QF Research and Development’s (QF R&D) mission to build Qatar’s innovation and technology capacity while addressing immediate needs of the community.
The keynote lectures at Qatar National Convention Centre on the second day of plenary sessions were aligned to ARC’14’s theme ‘Towards World-Class Research and Innovation,’ and examined research priorities aligned to Qatar National Research Strategy, including water, energy and cyber security and integrated healthcare.

“It is a huge opportunity to develop research networks with local and international partners, where new ideas are developed so that Qatar’s research and development sector can prosper.”
Day two witnessed parallel debates on health and social sciences with expert contributors exploring latest themes.
