DOHA: To promote healthy lifestyle among employees, Qatar Petroleum’s Industrial Cities Directorate held the biannual Workers’ Welfare and Well-being Forum at Ras Laffan Emergency & Safety College in Ras Laffan Industrial City.
It was an opportunity for HSE experts to highlight positive effects of good health and well-being on workplace safety and productivity.
Organised by Health and Hygiene Division of the directorate’s HSE Department in collaboration with QP’s Medical Services Department, the event was held under the theme ‘Go Healthy, Go Productive,’ highlighting benefits of a healthy lifestyle on personal and professional levels.
The forum featured presentations by HSE professionals and medical experts from QP, Barzan Gas Project and Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd. (Nakilat).
Workshops focused on health and well-being topics, including the body mass index, stress control, proper diet and physical activities.
They included discussions, Q&A sessions, tests and personal evaluation, providing participants with a quick assessment of their physical and mental state, two things that are intimately linked.
