Doha: The Indonesian Embassy in Doha, in collaboration with Katara Cultural Village, organised “Saung Angklung Udjo Performance,” which started yesterday and will run until November 28 at Al Ibdaa Courtyard.

This is in line with the World Cup celebrations happening at Katara.

The street performance features Indonesia’s traditional musical instrument Angklung, which is made from bamboos and carefully wilted and cut by a master to produce certain notes. In 2010, Unesco inscribed Angklung in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Interested individuals may visit the Al Ibdaa Courtyard from 6pm to 8pm to witness the wonderful performance.
