Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha celebrated with pride and enthusiasm the National Day of Qatar. Special activities were organised in the lobby and the restaurant of the hotel for the guests as well as a special meal, inspired by the traditional Qatari cuisine, was prepared for the employees in the staff cafeteria.

Arabic coffee, dates and traditional Middle Eastern desserts were served all-day long in the lobby and the reception of Kempinski, a gesture that was warmly welcomed by the guests. Members of the staff wearing thobes and abayas, and beautiful flowers in the colours of the Qatari flag were adding a local touch to the modern-contemporary lobby.

A local Qatari family was invited to celebrate the National Day with the staff. The ladies of the family were delighted to cook live, in the staff cafeteria. During the live demonstration, the ladies prepared the traditional thin and crispy, crepe-like pancake that is commonly named mankouche across the region, offering a unique experience to the members of the staff that can only be seen in Souq Waqif. Moreover, the hotel prepared a surprise cake-cutting ceremony for guests and staff to commemorate the National Day.

“Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha is proud to celebrate the National Day of Qatar and being part of the local community. Today, it gives us great pleasure to honour Qatar with our guests and employees.” said Wissam Suleiman, General Manager of Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha.
