Malaysia Premier, OIC chief discuss Rohingya situation

Kuala Lumpur:  Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak met here on Saturday with the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al Othaimeen, on the sideline of the Extraordinary Session of OIC Council of Foreign Ministers on The Situation of The Rohingya Muslim Minority in Myanmar.

During the meeting, they discussed means to boost the relation between Malaysia and OIC and the situation of this minority in addition to the steps to be taken by OIC member states to alleviate their suffering, stop acts of violence against them in the state of Rakhine.

Al Othaimeen also held a number of bilateral meetings with OIC member states' foreign Ministers to discuss the Rohingya issue.
