DOHA: Qatar University Faculty of Medicine will start admitting students for the Fall semester 2015, tomorrow and the admissions will continue up to July 9, officials at the university announced.
About 400 students including 50 from Qatar have applied to study medicine at the faculty, the university will be giving priority to Qatari students during the admission process, reported Al-sharq
Placement for residents and foreign students is available on academic merit.
The language of instruction at the faculty is English, while Arabic is also taught and encouraged for the students to be able to communicate effectively with their local patients.
The University is co-operating with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to train the best medical doctors for the country. The University students do their clinical trials with HMC hospitals around the country.
