Kuwait: The price of Kuwaiti oil went up by 31 cents to USD 52.51 per barrel Monday after being at USD 52.20 pb on Friday, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Tuesday.

The prices also went up globally despite the increase in US oil production and reserves.

The increase was attributed to optimism on the backdrop of OPEC and non-OPEC members' agreement to decrease production, according to (KUNA) news agency.

The Brent crude was up to 56.18 per barrel, the same case with the West Texas Intermediate, which went up by 29 cents to USD 53.69 pb.
