Doha: An online meeting was organised to offer condolence on the demise of the mother of Shakeb Ahsan, patron of Bazme Sadaf International (BSI) Doha chapter.
She had tested positive for COVID-19 and after battling the disease for three weeks in Zahra hospital, UAE she breathed her last a week ago. She was a teacher in Patna, (India) and was living with her husband and younger son, Shadab Ahsan in UAE after her retirement.
President of BSI Doha chapter, Dr. Nadeem Zafar Jilani Danish mentioned that BSI members from across the globe had sent messages of condolence for its patron and due to the pandemic circumstances, it was felt that an online meeting should be arranged for members to express sympathy with Shakeb Ahsan & his family at this hour of grief.
BSI Chairman Shahabuddin Ahmad in his message of condolence expressed grief on behalf of entire Bazme Sadaf members and likened the organisation to a large family which was standing with its patron at this difficult time.
Director of BSI, Professor Sardar Imam Quadri who attended the meeting from India said that death of a parent is an irreplaceable loss and hoped that God will give the family members strength to cope with their sorrow.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Ahmad Ashfaq, BSI program director, Masood Hassas, President BSI Kuwait chapter, Dr. Wasiul Haq, General Secretary BSI Doha chapter, Waquar Ahmad Vice President BSI Doha chapter.
Shah Jahan Jafri from Kuwait, Samia Naz from UAE and Irfanullah from Doha also shared their messages of sympathy and support.
BSI Doha Joint Secretary, Rizwan Ahmad, advisor Ekramul Rashid and executive members Rahmatullah Ansari and Akhtar Reza also offered their prayers for the departed soul.
Other dignitaries who attended the meeting included Rafat Jahan, President BSI international affairs, Shabana Jawaid joint secretary BSILFOW and Sajjad Ahmad advisor, BSI.
Shakeb Ahsan who attended the meeting along with his father and brother from UAE thanked members of BSI for organising this meeting and appreciated their thoughtfulness. He expressed his gratitude for all who gathered to pray for his mother.
