BAGHDAD: A senior Iraqi police officer was killed Friday in clashes between security forces and unknown insurgents in a restive province north of the capital Baghdad, reported Iraqi media.
The officer was identified as Major-General Ragheb Al Emari, the chief of police in the province of Diyala, independent broadcaster Alsumaria said, citing an unnamed security official.
No other casualties were reported. (QNA)
