Condolences sent to Iran president

Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a cable of condolences to Iranian President Dr Hassan Rouhani following the death of his mother, paying to Allah the Almighty to rest her soul in peace and grant her family and loved ones forbearance and consolation. 
Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani also sent a cable of condolences to Dr Rouhani.
Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable to the president.

Leaders greet Tunisia president

Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a cable of congratulations to Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi on his country’s Independence Day.
Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani also sent a cable to Essebsi.
Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable to Essebsi.

Qatar slams blasts in Yemen, Bahrain

Doha: Qatar denounced the bombings which targeted Bader mosque in Al Safiah and Al Hashosh mosque in Al Jaraf in Yemeni capital Sana’a yesterday that left many dead and wounded.
A Foreign Ministry statement said the bombings constitute a dangerous precedent and heinous crime that has no religion, and are contrary to values and morals and Islamic principles. 
It said such acts are a flagrant violation of the sanctity of mosques and aim to spread panic and chaos among innocent worshipers.
The ministry renewed its call for all parties to complete dialogue and adhere to the Gulf initiative to contain violence, achieve the requirements of the people and contribute to Yemen’s security, stability and territorial integrity. 
It also condemned the explosion that injured two policemen in Bahrain. 
The ministry said Qatar is fully behind Bahrain in its efforts to combat violence and destabilisation attempts. 

Dental unit to  close for work 

DOHA: The Primary Health Care Corporation has announced that the female dental unit at Airport Health Centre will remain closed from March 22 to 26 for installation of new equipment.
