MoI officers get British training to handle emergencies

Doha: The Police Training Institute celebrated the graduation of the first batch for the course to deal with security situations on April 18. 

The course was held between April 7 and 14 in collaboration with British College of Policing (COP). There were 14 participants from different security departments of Ministry of Interior.  

The course provided knowledge, management and leadership skills that will enable officers to deal with emergency security incidents and solve problems of the work according to scientific basics and policing values. 

The course included a number of subjects such as self-responsibility, definition of security situation, cognitive symptoms of confusion, risk assessment and crime scene preservation.

This is the first of its kind course organised by the Police Training Institute with the cooperation of COP during the training season of 2013/2014. 

At the end of ceremony, Assistant Director of the Institute Brig Ali Abdulla Al Manouri awarded certificates for the participants.
