Doha: Over a thousand people gathered at the British Embassy here yesterday to celebrate the birthday of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
The British Ambassador Michael O’Neill, the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, and the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson joining in the celebrations.
Members of the British and Qatari communities, the diplomatic corps, media, business, leaders from the government sector, teachers from the eleven British schools in Qatar, as well as the British Embassy and British Council staff attended the event that also marked partnership between the UK and Qatar.
