Geneva: Qatar participated in the 62nd session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, held in Geneva, Switzerland, in parallel with the meetings of the World Health Assembly. Qatar’s delegation to the meetings was led by Minister of Public Health H E Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud.
The meetings reviewed several important topics, most notably the state of healthcare in the Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem and the occupied Syrian Golan, as well as the Arab Committee for Health Emergency Preparedness and Response, and the Arab Health Economics Strategy (2025-2030), which aims to promote the use of health economics approaches to address key health priorities.
