Doha, Qatar: Yet another exciting weekend awaits us in Qatar and rising temperatures shouldn’t stop you from doing something fun over your time off.

People of all ages can attend a wide range of indoor events and participate in the many activities offered.

We also encourage you to spend your time outdoors with family and friends and take part in all the activities whether it be sports or culture related.

One of those events is the Amir Cup Final which is sure to capture the interest of football fans nationwide.

Amir Cup 2025 Final May 24, 2025
7pm onwards 
Khalifa International Stadium

Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa will go head to head in the Amir Cup final this Saturday, May 24 at the Khalifa International Stadium after two powerful displays of football in the semi-finals - A penalty shoot-out sent Al Rayyan to the final, while Al Gharafa came back from two goals down and scored four to secure their place in the final.

Football fans can book their tickets and head out to watch their favourite teams play and lift the cup in what promises to be a thrilling and intense final.

Michael Buble May 23 & 24, 2025

Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC)

Canadian Pop icon Michael Buble will be performing in Qatar over the weekend at Al Mayassa Theatre in the Qatar National Convention Centre.

He will go on stage for two different shows, both at 8pm on Friday, May 23 and on Saturday, May 24. Book your tickets here

QNB One Run For All 2025 May 23, 2025

F1 Lusail circuit

The 2nd edition of the QNB One Run For All 2025 half-marathon will take place at the F1 Lusail circuit on Saturday, May 23 in the afternoon.

As a means to promote sportsmanship and unity, QNB welcomes both kids and adults to participate. The races are open to people of all ages though the 21K marathon is reserved to those over the age of 17. You can register for the race via the QATAR SPORTS FOR ALL app.

Lusail Boulevard

Doha Film Festival has collaborated with Qatar’s Japanese cultural events community—Nakama to host Geekend from May 22 to May 24. 

The event will span across three days and will offer multiple activities for those interested in gaming, cosplay, and animation. It will take place in the Geekdom Building, located on Lusail Boulevard. You can register to receive a QR code here  in order to be able to purchase day passes on site.

Al Shaqab LeagueMay 23 and May 24, 2025
Longines Indoor Arena at Al Shaqab

Cadet male and female horse riders will compete in a series of Show jumping events at the world-class Longines Arena at Al Shaqab. This championship is open to the public for free as Al Shaqab encourages both horse-riding fans and those in search for something new to watch to assist to this sporting event.

The 2025 Abaya Rally Qatar May 24, 2025

Lusail International Circuit

An all-women drive - a first in Doha, is set to take place at the famous Lusail International Circuit on Saturday, May 24. The Abaya cultural wear as mentioned in the title, is a huge symbol of women empowerment and plays a significant role in this event. Car parades, fashion shows and panel talk with influential women are on the schedule.

The event will also feature a Gala Night celebration. All those wishing to participate must present their ID and a valid driving license. Drive passes can be purchased through Q-Tickets  

ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals Doha 2025May 17 – 25, 2025
Lusail Sports Arena

Qatar is hosting the 58th edition of the ITTF World Table Tennis Championship from May 17th to May 25th, aligning the matches with the weekend. Threads of Light

“Threads of Light” is organized by Msheireb Museums as part of the Tasweer Photography Festival. It features powerful images of the West Asian and North African world, recalling tradition and cultural identity. This open-to-all exhibition is worth taking a look at if you seek an eye-opening and educational experience.

‘Journey Back to Syria’ Photo Exhibition

The “Departure: The Journey Back to Syria” is a photo exhibition inaugurated by Musherib Museums on May 5, 2025. The exhibition, expected to run until May 25, includes different photographs of Damascus. An exhibition like this one should definitely figure in your plans if you're interested in discovering this year's Tasweer Photography Festival.

The Fire Station (Gallery 3)

You can embark on a photographic exploration of mosques in the Al-Mihrab exhibition, being displayed at the Doha Fire Station. This exhibition, being part of The Tasweer Exhibitions, will last till June 20. It is free of charge and worth a visit.
