Doha: The Milipol Qatar Committee has opened a webpage to register VIPs, visitors and media persons for the 10th edition of internal security devices exhibition — Milipol Qatar 2014 — on October 20-22. It is as one of the biggest expos in the field of security in the region.
Participants can register through www.mybadgeonline.com/milipolqatar2014 and ensure access to the event, which offers latest innovations and developments in activities associated with internal security of countries.
Milipol Qatar is organised by the Ministry of Interior and Paris-based Comexposium Security.
Activities include protection of information and communication systems data, economic and industrial information data, integration of systems, risk management and analyses, countering chemical, biochemical and nuclear terrorism, forensic science services, activation of counterterrorism laws, protection of industrial sites, fight against organised crime and securing public and urban places, security of ports, airports and border control, road safety and security of financial systems and prison, oil and gas sectors, among others.
Brig. Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani (pictured), Chairman, Qatar Milipol Committee, urged concerned people and agencies to register as the number of participants increased significantly in previous editions.
“Preparations and organisational works have completed according to action plans prepared in 2012. The committee visited international security exhibitions to promote Milipol.
“With the growing importance of internal security in the region, media attention is needed to showcase latest tools, techniques and equipment related to internal security.
“Hence, for media representatives, early registration will help avoid rush for permits and badges,” he said.
