DOHA: The Minister of Labour and Social Affairs H E Abdullah bin Saleh Mubarak Al Khulaifi has reiterated that the present sponsorship system will soon be replaced with a “modern” contract between worker and employer.
Consultations in this regard will continue with non-governmental organisations, businesses and workers groups.
“However, the direction we are taking is firmly set and every effort is being made to put reforms in place as quickly as possible as these most recent measures show,” said the Minister.
