Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Amiri Decision No. 32 of 2026 to reconstitute the Board of Trustees of the Qatar National Library.
The decision stipulated that the Board of Trustees of the Qatar National Library be reconstituted, chaired by HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al-Thani, with HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim Al-Thani as Vice-Chairman, and with the membership of HE Dr. Sheikha bint Abdullah Al-Misnad, the Secretary-General of the Qatar National Archives, Dr. Hassan Rashid Al-Derham, the Vice-President of Qatar University for Research and Innovation, and a representative of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, chosen by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology in coordination with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
The decision is effective starting from its date of issue and is to be published in the official gazette.
