Islamabad: Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday urged the United States and Iran to remain fully measured, warning that taking further action would aggravate instability in the Middle East.

During his meeting with Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, Sharif stressed that he was deeply alarmed by the recent escalation in the region.

He re-emphasized that Pakistan would continue to play its role as a mediator and facilitator to help strengthen regional peace and stability.
