Doha: The Sheikh Thani Bin Abdulla Humanitarian Services Foundation (RAF) has received QR200,000 from Lulu Hypermarket Group Qatar, being the value of the returns from the food materials and other items allotted for the campaign of “Buy and Donate” during Ramadan.
Dr Ayedh Al Qahtani of RAF received the amount form Mohammed Althaf, Director of Lulu Group International Al Qahtani said: “This good humanitarian initiative from the higher administration of Lulu Hypermarket Group to support the charitable projects of RAF inside and outside Qatar, is not the first of its kind between the two departments nor will it be the last”. He announced more cooperation between Lulu and RAF in a number of projects in the coming months.
Althaf said: “The selection of RAF has come from the big confidence in the efforts made by the Foundation to serve the humanitarian and charitable cause inside and outside Qatar. The cooperation with RAF will not be limited in supporting the charitable projects only but there would be cooperation between RAF and Lulu in the countries where both departments have existence on international level, especially, in the South East Asian countries.”
