DOHA: Tajikistan President Emomalii Rahmon received Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani Al Thani, Chairman, Ezdan Holding Group at the presidential palace in the capital city Dushanbe on Thursday.
Receiving Sheikh Dr Khalid, Emomalii underpinned the strength of bilateral relations between Qatar and Tajikistan.
On the business opportunities in the country, he said: “The Republic of Tajikistan is currently offering great investment opportunities for foreign investors. The country’s new law guarantees big incentives to foreign investors.”
Sheikh Dr Khalid expressed his pleasure in visiting Tajikistan and thanked the warm reception and generous hospitality he received. “This visit falls within the framework of economic and trade relations between Qatar and Tajikistan, which grows and evolve in a positive light under the wise leadership of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani,”, he said.
The business community of Qatar has great interests in Tajik market. Qatari business community is ready to share Qatar’s expertise in the Islamic banking with Tajikistan.
The Qatari business community is also interested in establishing Tajikistan’s first Islamic Bank. Sheikh Dr Khalid emphasised Qatari businessmen’s readiness to support and provide advisory services in the financial sector to Tajiksitan.
