Doha: Bangladesh Writers Journalists Association Qatar has held a courtesy visit and exchange of views with the newly appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh to Qatar, H E Muhammad Jashim Uddin. The meeting was held on September 16, at the Embassy of Bangladesh, Doha, Qatar.
A delegation led by President of Bangladesh Writers Journalists Association, Aminul Haque and General Secretary Shahabuddin Muhammad Shamim extended heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the newly appointed Ambassador Muhammad Jashim Uddin. They presented the ambassador with a copy of the association’s annual magazine, ‘Poriborton’. Mahbubur Rahman, First Secretary of the Embassy was also present.
The delegation presented 12 proposals to the ambassador in the interest of the Bangladeshi expatriates. The Ambassador said some issues are already being settled and the embassy would do its best to meet the rest as soon as possible.
H E the Ambassador said that he would take various steps to solve all the problems of the expatriate Bangladeshis, improve the quality of life as well as improve the image of Bangladesh. He sought the cooperation of the media personnel as well as the leaders of the Bangladesh community and expatriates of all walks of life in this regard.
