Doha: The Diplomatic Institute at Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs held its 7th seminar titled “Bilateral Relations Between the Republic of Korea and Qatar”, during which the Dean of Education and Training at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) Ambassador Kon Tameon spoke about ties in all fields.
The KNDA was founded 60 years ago and has developed ever since to include prominent professors and researchers, Tameon explained.
On Korean ties with the Middle East, he stressed the strength of relations with the State of Qatar in specific, on the political, economical, and cultural levels.
The Republic of Korea holds Qatar’s leadership and its diplomatic initiatives in high regard, he said, adding that it has placed the State at a revered position on a global level.
Tameon called for the documentation of ties between the KNDA and the Diplomatic Institute as well as the formulation of programmes for the exchange of experience and visits between the two sides.
Delegates spoke of the fields of bilateral cooperation and trade between Qatar and the Republic of Korea, highlighting the need for further expanding relations.
