Doha: Qatar will participate in the 23rd conference of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, which opens in Kuwait today.
The Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary-General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) HE Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi will lead Qatar’s delegation to the two-day meeting.
The conference will discuss the report of the chairman of the executive Board on the 22nd and 23rd sessions of the conferences and the director-general’s report on implementation of programmes and projects for 2013-2014
French ties reviewed
Paris: The Attorney General, Dr Ali bin Fetais Al Marri, met former French prime minister Alain Juppe in the French city of Bordeaux. Talks dealt with the National School for the Judiciary and cooperation.
Al Marri also met the Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Christiane Taubira, in Paris. The meeting focused on legal and judicial cooperation. Al Marri also held talks with the President’s Adviser Emmanuel Bonn on cooperation, especially in the legal and judicial field.
Algerian minister meets envoy
Algiers: The Algerian Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Sid Ahmed Ferroukhi, yesterday met Qatari Ambassador Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz Al Sahlawi. They discussed cooperation and means of enhancing it in the field of fishing and fish resources. QNA
