Gaza: At least 17 employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) have been killed since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

"The death of 17 of our colleagues has been confirmed so far in this fierce war. Unfortunately, the actual number is likely higher," according to a press release issued by UNRWA Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini on Saturday.

He indicated that some of UNRWA staff were killed with their families while sleeping in their beds at home as a result of the Israeli persistent bombing of Gaza, adding that at least 35 UNRWA buildings have been damaged so far, some of them in direct strikes, despite providing all concerned parties with the geographical location of all its facilities in the Strip.
