Chennai: AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa yesterday said her party will vote against the union government’s decision to allow foreign direct investment (FDI) in multi-brand retail if a motion is brought in parliament.
Speaking to reporters here, Jayalalithaa, the Tamil Nadu chief minister, said her party would vote against any motion that sought to bring FDI in retail since it was against the country’s interests.
She reiterated her government’s stance of not allowing FDI in retail in Tamil Nadu.
