DOHA: Asif produced a class act to lead Blaster Guns to a four-wicket triumph over Punjab Club in the QCA Division C Cricket League.
The Qatar Cricket Association organised the Division C League at the West Bay Complex where all five matches took place.
Asif first captured four wickets to restrict Punjab Club to 145 all out in 23 overs.
Javed and Abdel Sattar also put pressure from other end, taking two wickets each.
Only Hamdan (40 not out) and Bilal Khan (35) batted well to get decent scores.
Asif then blasted 78 that made the chase a rather easy job.
Blaster Guns clinched the win in 21 overs for the loss of six batsmen.
Vipin’s five-wicket tally and an all-round performance by Richard were the highlights in the victories of Vodafone Club and QIE, respectively.
Vodafone Club, batting first against Chittagong Club, made a paltry 111 for nine in 25 overs. But they fought back through Vipin and his impressive haul caused the collapse and ensured a 30-run victory.
Richard first top-scored with 35 when QIE set up a 146-run target for United Eleven.
