Qatar Asian Junior Championship begins

The 2016 Asian Junior Tennis Championship (Under 14) will begin at the Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex today.
The week-long tournament will feature over 70 players representing a number of Asian countries and hosts Qatar also fields a strong line-up.
The Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) offered wild cards to Qatar’s Nasser Al Yafai, Abdulaziz Zainal, Amna Al Qaeet and Sarah Al Qaeet in addition Saudi Arabia’s Qassim Ebaidan and Bahrain’s Mohammad Al Shahabi.
QTF Board Member and Head of National Teams Committee Khalid Al Khelaifi said that QTF looks forward to host more tournaments of this nature.  “The QTF is keen to organize a huge number of local and international events to give the Qatari players an opportunity to develop their skills,” he said.
The tournament concludes on Saturday.
