Doha: Qatar First Bank (QFB) organised a blood donation drive in association with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), under its corporate social responsibility and as part of its active involvement in community engagement.
The event was held at QFB’s headquarters in Al Sadd on November 15.
Employees across all departments of QFB participated in the event along with other blood donors from fellow companies within the HQ building.
QFB planned the blood drive with the noble cause of helping to replenish the supplies at HMC blood bank and received an overwhelming response.
Commenting on the initiative Director Operations & HR, Mohammed Mohammed said, “We are honoured and blessed to have the opportunity to donate blood and be part of an important initiative in Qatar.
The efforts of Hamad Medical Centre, their amazing employees and all donors will have a positive impact in saving lives and improving the health and well-being of the people of Qatar. Our inaugural blood drive concluded on a high note, and we must thank all the stakeholders for their involvement.”
QFB is planning to hold the blood donation drive on an annual basis in order to pledge their continuous support to HMC. Qatar First Bank LLC (Public) is the first independent Shari’ah compliant bank authorised by the QFC Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) and a listed entity on the Qatar Stock Exchange.
