Emir congratulates South Korean president-elect

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani  and the Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani have sent cables of congratulations to Park Geun-hye on the occasion of her victory in the South Korean presidential election.

The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani has also sent a similar cable to the new South Korean president.

 

Emir sends cable of condolences to Mauritania president

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani  and the Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani have sent cables of condolences and sympathy to President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz on the death of Former President Al Mustafa Ould Mohamed Al Salek.

The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani has also sent a similar cable to the Mauritanian President.

 

Heir Apparent receives call from King of Jordan

Doha: The Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday received a telephone call from King Abdullah II of Jordan.

During the call the leaders reviewed relations between the two countries and discussed a range of topics of common interest.

 

Prime Minister  receives message from Kuwaiti Dy PM

Doha: The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani has received a written message from Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, H E Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah.

The message is on bilateral ties and other issues of common concern.

The message was received by Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs, H E Ali bin Fahad Al Hajiri, during a meeting here with Kuwait’s Ambassador to Qatar, Ali Salman Al Haifi.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
