DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has allotted dedicated parking areas for trucks in different parts of the country in a bid to reduce traffic congestion in the city especially in the peak hours.
The parking lots are spread over Al Shamal, Umm Qarn, Al Wakra road and Rowdat Al Rashid. All the trucks coming from Al Shamal to Doha are required to park in Umm Qarn and those coming from the south of Doha towards Al Wakra should park at the area dedicated along the Wakra road.
Trucks heading from the West towards Rowdat Al Rashid have been given parking space in the area and they are not permitted to park inside Doha.
