ISLAMABAD: For the first time thousands of civil bureaucrats from Grade 17-20 would not be able to move into next grade without submission of medical fitness certificate, sources said yesterday.
Sources said the Establishment Division issued a circular on December 2, 2013 to the chief secretaries of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and federal secretaries saying that no officer would be eligible to attend promotion course if “he/she fails to submit fitness certificates from a recognised medical facility within 10 days of his/her selection for the course.”
The policy takes effect on January 1, 2014, an official said. INTERNEWS
