Jordan FM Meets South Korean Counterpart

Amman - Jordan's Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Nasser Judeh, and his South Korean counterpart Yun Byung-se, discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Middle East on Saturday.

The two sides agreed to promote cooperation on various issues of common interest, reported Jordan's (Petra) news agency.

Judeh highlighted the importance of intensifying international endeavours to resume negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis, leading to the establishment of the independent State of Palestine with its capital in East Jerusalem on the 1967 borders.

The two foreign ministers also discussed the Syrian crisis as well as efforts made by the UN envoy to Syria, stressing that Jordan's stance is to reach a political solution and end the plight of the Syrian refugees.
