Zazai added 58 more rebels were killed during clashes in the Washer district, where the insurgents tried to storm security check-posts.
Taliban claimed they captured several security posts, killed and wounded scores of Afghan security personnel in Greshk and Sagin district of northern Helmand province.
They also claimed destroying vehicles of Afghan Police in the explosion and also causing heavy causalities to the Afghan policemen. The Ministry of Interior officials announced earlier on Friday that the Afghan forces seized control of Khanshin district from Taliban.
