Doha, Qatar: Minister of Justice H E Masoud bin Mohammed Al Amri affirmed that the commemoration of Qatar National Day carries profound meanings and connotations given its significance in the history of Qatar’s advancement and the nation’s progression, stressing that this occasion will remain immortal in the memory of generations thanks to the wise leadership and its sound vision.
In a statement to QNA on the occasion of Qatar National Day, the Minister of Justice said the commemoration of this day highlights the aspects of the State’s progress and prosperity, and the drive to promote the developmental progression in various fields, at the forefront the legislative and legal system which is strengthened year after year based on an integrated Qatari legal system, adopting the latest successful legal experiences and practices.
This was affirmed by Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani who asserted, in a speech before the 52nd session of the Shura Council, the need to work on completing the legislative structure to achieve the consolidation of the principles of prompt justice. On this national occasion, the Minister of Justice extended his warmest greetings to H H the Amir, Father Amir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Deputy Amir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, and to the Qatari people and the residents of Qatar, on the occasion of Qatar National Day.
Al Amri noted that the Ministry of Justice achieved several milestones in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, especially with regard to vital projects and initiatives that keep pace with the projects of Qatar Digital Government, and the sectorial plans of the Third National Development Strategy.
He pointed out that work is now underway to implement 103 legal and service projects prepared under the new strategic plan of the Ministry of Justice (2023-30), covering various areas related to the supervision of the practice of legal professions, ensuring the provision of high-quality and accurate electronic services for all citizens and lawyers, and providing legal training for targeted categories in the State’s legal system, as well as coordinating with government agencies on cases filed by or against them.
Al Amri affirmed that work is also underway to digitalize the Ministry’s services as part of an integrated plan for digital transformation. Several public services have been restructured, bringing the number of services provided up to 281 electronic services, most of which are delivered electronically in an integrated manner. He added that the real estate brokerage system has been launched in the Ministry of Justice, which provides a flexible and sophisticated portal for real estate brokers and the public.
The system licensed more than 527 Qatari real estate brokers licensed and registered with the Real Estate Brokerage Department, licensed about 306 Qatari lawyers, and provided more than 274 accredited experts before the courts to provide various expertise, including accurate and rare expertise.
