DOHA: The Board of Directors of Qatar Petroleum (QP) has issued a decision to merge Qatar Petroleum International Ltd (QPI) with QP, Al Sharq reports. The merger aims to ensure efficient use of resources and to increase QP’s footprint in global market, said the daily.
Following the decision, employees, assets and projects of Qatar Petroleum International Ltd (QPI) will be shifted to Qatar Petroleum as per a plan announced earlier in November last year. The merger will take place in March and the focus will be on making QP a global company in petroleum and gas sector, said the daily.
